New Year's resolutions

2012 begins tomorrow... And I haven't promised anything yet!! I should make some resolutions:)

Now you should know

Today was such a nice day, but I'm tired and my feet & back hurts.... Shopping shopping shopping♥♥

Mission possible

Watch closely and you'll know the place where I am! Actually, as I wrote this, there was a comedy show on TV and the host said "I have something for you guys... It's a mission!"

Destination unknown

Snowy mountains... Where am I? The views are not like that here though :)

Flight meals = LOVE
They're always so good! Especially KML and Turkish Airlines meals :)
Speaking of meals, I need to go to buy some food now. Byes!

Lentokentällä

One of my favorite places in Finland: Helsinki-Vantaa Airport♥
It even smells like traveling.... I know it might sound very strange, but some scents remind me of traveling, and the smell of the airport is one of those :)
Bye everybody, I'm off to...... where??

Joululahaja

These are from my cousin :) The necklace is actually light blue, but I had to change the colors a bit or the photo would have been way too yellow. She also gave me a shower gel but the photo was way too yellow to publish ;) Thanks to her anyway, I love it!

Yöjunalla Helsinkiin

I'm in Helsinki now! I went by a night train and arrived early in the morning :)
Too bad the train was in time (Finnish trains are late almost every time), so I must wait 7 hours at the airport. Too bored... I'm actually supposed to study mathematics but my laptop is a better way to pass some time :D

Even if the journey by train wasn't too pleasant(no internet connection, noise, cold shower), my mood is brilliant! The staff in the train was so kind, and so was the bus driver. Not to mention the staff at the airport :)

And another thing, I fell in love with Helsinki!!!! Before I didn't like it at all, but today it seemed kinda magical :) Expecially the architecture was awesome. Before I couldn't even imagine myself living in Helsinki, but now it doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.

Travel fever

One of my favorite foods ever♥ Ate too much of them.

I shouldn't look at these pics before traveling: as a tip to you guys I'd like to say that in my destinations there weather is quite alike to what we have in Finland now. Except that there's no snow. In Istanbul it was even 32C, which was just perfect!! If I get a change to travel in the summer, I really want to travel to a warm place with palm trees. I love them:)

Aaton viettoa

Visited the graveyard again, since it's a part of our Christmas tradition. -1C felt suprisingly cold, because it's been quite warm lately. But we still have some snow left♥♥
Click this! <--- to see the weather in Helsinki tomorrow. I go to Helsinki by a night train, and when I arrive it's supposed to be 5 plus degrees there!!!!! Like Ibiza or Tahiti or something :)

And another tradition of ours: driving around the city on the Christmas Eve. We Finns celebrate Christmas on December 24th unlike many others. I wonder why it's so.... Maybe we just want to open all the presents before the foreigners get to open theirs?

And then, the present! The reason why my Christmas was so different to the Christmas before was that we didn't spend it with all the relatives: this year it was just me and my parents. And because I'm going to travel, I didn't want presents. Of course I got presents from friends, but I opened them earlier (sorry..:)

But of course my dad had bought me something.... He knows that I love handmade chocolates! My favorite handmade chcolates are not sold anymore, or at least he hadn't found them, so he bought these ones instead. And I'm not disappointed at all, any handmade chocolate is fine to me :p

Today's plan is very simple: finish packing your stuff & go to the train station!!

Hyvvää joulua!

Merry Christmas everybody! I wish you all will have a memorable Christmas with your family, friends or loved ones :)

I dyed my hair. It doesn't look different at all, though :)

Leffailua ja musiikkeilua

I've visited the cinema twice this week. At first I went to see New Year's Eve with my classmates. I don't remember the movie at all though, since I just slept there :D Sorry....
Then the second one, Happy Feet 2! It wasn't as good as I had supposed it to be, but at least I didn't sleep there.

Finally I managed to get Spotify! Listening to music 25/7 nowadays ;)

These days were supposed to be lazy...

I'm a bit worried. My bag is almost full, but it contains just my towel, flight tickets and presents for my friends. How are my clothes supposed to fit there?? And my laptop, not to mention my camera...

I was about to take a pic of me without make-up, but that could have caused nightmares to you guys, so I took this one instead. Say hello to my elegant (pink) bathrobe :)
Today's to-do:
- dye your hair
- visit the post office
- CLEAN YOUR ROOM!
- finish packing your bags
- visit the library
- decorate the house for Christmas
- do your homework
- print some important travel things
- recharge your camera battery and format the memory card
- find your "Christmas feeling"
- don't eat more chocolate, you're sick of it already

Yesterday I decided to have my annual "couch potato night"! You might wonder what it is, so I'll explain: every year, at least once, I feel like sleeping on my couch instead of my bed. Why? Because my bed is stuffed with everything :/ At the moment the situation is like this: in my bed there are clothes, school books, movie tickets and other trash, money, a box, gift wrapping paper, bags and a calculator. I guess it's easy to understand the reason why I prefer sleeping on the sofa atm :D
That's the view from my couch by the way. My postcard wall is bigger than ever!

Found this while looking for my travel cash. So far it has been possible to change old markka coins and notes to euro, but after the New Year it won't be possible anymore. So everybody, remember to visit the bank with your markkas ;) I'm not going to do that though, I'll keep those as a memory of some kind!

Bought little bottles of shampoo and conditioner for the trip. Normally those are sold in 900ml bottles :)

Roses are pink again

My day was terrible, but the roses that my grandpa gave me cheered me up so much! Thank you!!:)

Joulu

Just a couple of days left before Christmas :) Too bad I still don't have "the Christmas feeling"!! I wonder why... Maybe it's just that I've been so busy. Anyway, this Christmas will be much different than what I'm used to. I have so many things to do, and so little time.

I♥OULU

Yesterday was such a strange day... I woke up grouchy because I didn't sleep well. Around 11am I went to the downtown of Oulu to visit the Northern Ostrobothnia museum. I had to visit it because my art class visited it a week ago but I couldn't go with because my toe was a bit injured. I got lost in the park where the museum is located, but finally I managed to find it. Walking around the park was terrible, because the whole place was icy and my bag weighed more than 9kg (I had my laptop, camera and school books there...).
I actually liked visiting the museum- the staff was soooooo friendly and the exhibitions were surprisingly good. I recommend :)

Oulu Castle on the backround.
After the museum I went to a Chinese restaurant, and then headed for the library to do some school work (spent 99,9% of time chatting on FB though..). The library closed at 5pm, and I went straight home to sleep. A bit early isn't it?

Busy days continue, part 2343453453

A picture from last winter. Now the weather isn't that pleasant... It's raining, NOT SNOWING!!! Christmas is just a bit more than week away, and the weather is like that. There has always been snow on Christmas in my hometown, I can't even remember a black Christmas :/

And besides the weather, I'm still terribly busy. So that's how I'll spend the weekend; doing some school stuff in the library... Well, just a week to go and the holidays will begin.
A picture from the summer. That must have been one of the best days (nights:) of the whole summer. I just wonder what I was doing when the picture was taken. Practising some ninja skills or something??

“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”

Quote by Robert Louis Stevenson (I'd like to read his books, but as usual, I have no time). Today's topic is -surprise surprise- travel! Why? Because there are only two weeks left before I start my journey of two weeks! I still have some things to arrange, but the most important things, such as flights and hotels, are booked already. It feels quite sad to leave on December the 25th, because I wanted to have a proper Christmas with my family but now it isn't possible (in Finland we actually celebrate the Christmas on 24th, but I think I'll spend the whole day packing my stuff and getting ready, what a shame!).

But why am I posting these pictures of Spain (and Norway, see below) in this post?
1. I have no recent pics, blame the weather... We have some snow now, though! About 20cm, love that :)
2. I feel like traveling somewhere in the summer... I'd prefer a warm coutry like Spain, because I haven't seen a real (my hometown's beach doesn't count) beach for a while. Even if I love snow so much, cold weather just makes me too grumpy.

Honningsvåg, one of my favorite cities♥ The atmosphere of the city is international but peaceful at the same time, and the people are so friendly. The winter could be a bit miserable though, as it's one of the northernmost cities in the world. The climate is quite warm actually, much warmer than in my city for example. Just a few minus degrees, I'd love that.

Recently

Some presents from a Brazilian friends of mine! Rio is awesome in Finnish, so how is it in Portuguese? Should check it out :)

"Veteran's Christmas 2011"
I was doing some shopping when I heard somebody saying "Please, help the veterans by buying this magazine!". I had already walked past the old man selling those magazines, but I had to go back and buy it...

30/30 in a chemistry exam!! I'm way too happy about this :p

2010 Norway pics (around Hammerfest I think)

I love nothern Norway so much (there's nothing wrong with southern Norway though, I just haven't been there yet so I can't say I love it ;)! Maybe I'll move to Norway when I'm old and feeble. The scenery is just too beautiful, especially when it's sunny ♥
