(Just to mention, it's one of the worst museums I've ever been to, and luckily I didn't have to pay for entrance because I'm still under 18... The shop has some nice stuff, like those notebooks I introduced before, though!)

№2 My neighbor's house was on fire... The result: three fire trucks, a police car and an ambulance. But no worries, nobody got hurt!! I suppose somebody just forgot their food in the oven ;)

№3 Dinner In The Sky was in Helsinki for a couple of days in August! I would have loved to try it, but I'm afraid of heights...

№4 Cup noodles!!!! Needless to say more!!

 №5 Math homework for ~2 months.. Not that bad. The ones written in bold are compulsory exercises, and other ones are obligatory. Just to mention, my exams are after 2 weeks :O I'd better start studying.........

№6 It's a tradition of mine to eat some junk food on Tuesdays (don't even ask!!). Normally I go to McDonalds for that purpose, but this time I couldn't find it so I went to SpiceIce instead. Yummy, but the cup was soooooo big I had to throw more than 50% away :s

№7 On my way home.. The weather has been just horrible lately! I feel like I'm just catching a cold.

 №8 I forgot my dinner home so.......

№9 Donald D!!!!!!!! He helps me to remember some new words ;)

 №10 I already wrote "Who is he??? You're awesome if you know who he is!!" here, but then noticed his name is written there on the lower right corner of the pic..... Oh well.

What a weird day...

One of the things I got this weekend... I got some other stuff too, but the photos turned out too bad to show here!! Waaay too bad.

Anyway, talking about my purchases isn't the point of today's post! I just want to share my strange day with you guys and girls... Here it comes:

8.00 The doorbell rings, but I'm sleeping so I don't open the door

---> Later on I find a strange paper on my floor! The only thing that's written there is "You've got mail, pick it up from the post office" and some numbers!! The problem is that there's no name on the paper, and I have two housemates... And they didn't even write which post office we should get the packet from :s

10.00 I find out that my history book has disappeared... I probably sold it with some other books, and didn't notice that I need it! I need to buy a new one, what a shame :s

11.20 I'm going to school, a bit too late... School starts at 11.30 and I'm still at the train station (I have to take 2 trains to go to school). Then a stranger starts to talk to me!!!! That's something that doesn't happen too often here in Finland.. Because most Finns are really shy! Anyway, we talk for a while and change Facebooks, and I run to school (we had our class photos at 11.45 so I wasn't late after all:)

12.40 Lunch!! Suddenly my English teacher walks to my table and asks me if I want to give a speech about Sami mythology at a culture center (I made a presentation about it last week, started writing it at 3 in the morning before the presentation and I think it wasn't very good)... That was so surprising!!

15.00 Looking for a new history book at a store. After finding the book, I see they have lots of language books as well, and decide to have a look... End up buying a dictionary, an answer books and a grammar book. And that history book of course. When I'm about to go and pay for the books, another stranger stops me, looking at my Portuguese books: "Do you study Portuguese??"

M: "Yup!"

S: "At a university??"

M: "No, at an adult high school."

S: "Okay, I was just curious because I was in Brazil last year!"

M: "Woooow, which cities did you visit?"

Then it was my turn to pay... Too bad I couldn't talk more with her!! I hope I'll see her somewhere later :p

Now, after all that, I'm just super tired... But I still have homework to do! Hopefully there will be no more strange stuff for this evening ;)

I did the exams (5 essays on just one day..) and took a train back home yesterday. Today I went to my great-aunt's funeral and met some relatives. They had found some old photo albums, and I got to see pictures of my great-grandfather (in Finnish: isoisoisoisä, in Swedish: farfarsfarfar :D) and so on. Tomorrow I'll go to Ikea in  Haparanda, Sweden... Have to buy some furniture to my new house :)

I'm off to Helsinki!

Yesterday was the last day of volunteering, and today I'll go to Helsinki.

I found this while tidying my room. A birthday card from my friend! (In case somebody is wondering, my birthday was a looooooong time ago! I  just forgot to take a pic of this card).. She knows who's my favorite actor for sure :D

Starbucks has arrived in Finland!!

Just a few months ago I heard that the first Starbucks in Finland will be built at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. And now it's opened, as I read from Pikkumansikka's blog! I'm waiting forward to visit it sooner or later, but while waiting for that, I can buy Starbucks products from the supermarket...

PS. I'm thinking of writing some posts beforehand so that there will be posts even when I'm away and can't use the computer:)

A snowy Saturday

I shouldn't have stepped outside the house today... The weather turned rather ugly while I was staying in the downtown. I had just been to library and flea market when I noticed it had begun to snow a little, but I decided to go shopping instead of going home...That was a bad idea! I bought some stuff, like a new gym bag :) And then I went to gym for about 1,5h. When I left the gym, it snowed really really much, but the temperature was around 0C so the snow melted quickly. And I didn't have a hat of any kind...... Hopefully I won't catch a cold!

Yesterday:

Waking up at 5am, going to school 7-8am, at school till 4pm, going to the library, studying till 7pm, finally at home around 8pm... Does anybody know why I was so tired?? ;)

Today: the same, except that I woke up 1 hour later! And I'm not that tired!

Found this from my cosmetic box and decided to give it a try. So far so good :)

Bye bye mittens :( They were my favorite ones, and I lost them...

Today's been a nice day so far: I left home around 12 to visit the flea market and came back a few hours later with a few bottles of Coke- my best friend will stay here the night! I was supposed to do some schoolwork and other things, but did only the most important. Tomorrow will be a veeeeery busy day then... The only bad thing about today is that I felt a little sick in the morning and decided to skip the skiing part of the day :/ Well, I jogged 40min yesterday, so maybe it's just good to rest a bit.

Spring is coming, that can be seen easily because the days are much longer than before. My winter vacation begins next week though... That should be called spring vacation instead. And I'll turn 17 on Sunday! Not having a party though, I'm not a fan of celebrating the fact I get older year by year :s

Today wasn't much of a special day- School, homework, reading and a nap of three hours. Now it's evening and I don't feel like sleeping at all... Oh well.

Hahahahaha that always happens to me while trying to take serious photos. The other ones were even worse... And when trying to take funny photos, I'm serious ;)

vitaminwater has FINALLY arrived to my local supermarket♥♥♥

I'm supposed to save money now, but how could I? I believe they will stop selling vitaminwater if I stop buying it :p

I almost applied for the coolest summerjob ever. The deadline is tomorrow, and cvs and everything should be in Swedish... I don't have time to translate them, so I had to give up.Too bad, I would have loved that job. Anyway, my second option is good as well, maybe even better. More about that later ;)

And because today is a Lazy Sunday, I decided to dye my hair. I bought this hair dye like 6 months ago, because it was on sale... Okay, I bought three of them. It doesn't change my haircolor much, but it's good for making light root growth less visible.

I'm off to study for a Finnish exam now, byes :)

Resolution check 1/13

A jewellery box from a Korean friend of mine! Beautiful isn't it? I love the colors and the shine:)
Oh well, that isn't the point of today's post actually. It's been almost two weeks since 2012 begun, so I want to see how many of my resolutions have come true already!! In case you can't remember, here's the post I'm referring to.

And here are the things that have come true already:

1. Don't worry

I haven't been worried enough lately!!! I'm worried about that....;)
9. See a sunset

Seen many of them already! A few really beautiful ones as well.

14. Go to amusement park

I've gone to an amusement park twice this year already...... Everland & Joypolis!

16. Eat something new

So many new foods! Foods abroad & cake made by my grandma. It was good, but I forgot to take a picture.

20. Talk to a stranger

During these 13 days I've talked to many strangers, including a homeless man, Swiss&French travelers and a businessman looking for taxi so that he didn't have to walk 1km...

34. Buy new shoes before Jan 10th

Bought 3 pairs of shoes actually. Well, I extended my promise: I won't go shopping for a year!! Sounds terrible doesn't it?
38. Buy a new cross

I bought a simple one. I lost my previous one at Helsinki-Vantaa before going to Asia :( It was so beautiful, and now there's only the chain left.

46. Grow your nails

 They're not long yet, but longer. I even put some nail polish on them, how unusual...

8/50 DONE!

Not bad, huh? Maybe my resolutions were too easy...

I was surprised when I saw this (and I'm still a bit surprised actually..)

 Maybe it's just that I'm stupid and get excited too easily :)

These days were supposed to be lazy...

I'm a bit worried. My bag is almost full, but it contains just my towel, flight tickets and presents for my friends. How are my clothes supposed to fit there?? And my laptop, not to mention my camera...

I was about to take a pic of me without make-up, but that could have caused nightmares to you guys, so I took this one instead. Say hello to my elegant (pink) bathrobe :)

Today's to-do:

- dye your hair

- visit the post office

- CLEAN YOUR ROOM!

- finish packing your bags

- visit the library

- decorate the house for Christmas

- do your homework

- print some important travel things

- recharge your camera battery and format the memory card

- find your "Christmas feeling"

- don't eat more chocolate, you're sick of it already

Yesterday I decided to have my annual "couch potato night"! You might wonder what it is, so I'll explain: every year, at least once, I feel like sleeping on my couch instead of my bed. Why? Because my bed is stuffed with everything :/ At the moment the situation is like this: in my bed there are clothes, school books, movie tickets and other trash, money, a box, gift wrapping paper, bags and a calculator. I guess it's easy to understand the reason why I prefer sleeping on the sofa atm :D

Found this while looking for my travel cash. So far it has been possible to change old markka coins and notes to euro, but after the New Year it won't be possible anymore. So everybody, remember to visit the bank with your markkas ;) I'm not going to do that though, I'll keep those as a memory of some kind!

Bought little bottles of shampoo and conditioner for the trip. Normally those are sold in 900ml bottles :)
