Vintage time: Revue watch

I told my dad that I need a new watch because I broke my previous one (which was a vintage watch that my grandmother brought from the Soviet Union a looooong time ago). He asked me "You like vintage stuff, right?" and I nodded. "Then I've something that you might like!". He gave me that one. I know it's a male watch, but I really do like it because of its classic design :) That watch is from the 1960s, probably 1964, but the condition is still quite good.

The title is a quote by William Penn. Wondering why I chose it? Because the pic above is a little treasure of knowledge: A Swedish-Finnish wordbook from 1949!! My dad bought it when he was in elementary school, and we still have it :)

Today... I need to buy booooooks! I got so much paper from school that it's hard to find the right ones when I need to check something. I also have some plans considering my future, so I'll meet the student counselor on Tuesday! Hopefully everything will be alright :)

Oww, I feel so terrible now... Too much food + no exercise + rain + school starts soon = disaster !!!

(If you read yesterday's post, you may wonder why I didn't go to the Red Cross meeting, the only reason is that it's not today, it's tomorrow... That's what happens when I'm on vacation, I just forget everything! Luckily I have a new school calendar now so I can start writing all the important things down again)

So, here's the plan for tomorrow:

7 o'clock in the morning a plumber comes to our house to fix the leaking radiator. And I should dye my hair before that (I'm afraid something goes wrong and our shower won't work anymore which would mean that I'd have to go to school with my lovely orange hair on the first day!!!! So, my goal is to wake up at 6). If the fixing takes longer than 1,5 hours, I need to stay at home to help/observe him because my dad has to go to work.

When the plumber has finished fixing the radiator, I must hurry to the flea market to fill my table with clothes & CDs and all other things that I want to sell. I have about 4 weeks left, and after that I'll stop keeping the table. The Red Cross meeting will be at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and at 5 I should be in the city centre in order to do some shopping with my best friend. I have nothing to buy though... And no money. Well, maybe I can get some notebooks or sth. In the evening I go to gym to exercise a bit. Luckily I can enter the gym 5.30am - 10.30pm with the card I purchased, so it doesn't matter if window shopping takes a long time.

I forgot to post the picture of the calendar last month, so you can see it at the top of the post. The funny thing about July's page is that there's a watermelon in it. You may wonder why I consider it funny, but here's a little story from my childhood:

When I was ~11 years old, one of my classmates had just started to learn Japanese. I also knew some words in it, but she obviously knew a lot more than me. She asked me if I knew what スイカ (Suika, watermelon) is, and I didn't know, sho she told me. I thought I was stupid because I didn't know what it was, so I still remember that word ;)

More vintage stuff from our summerhouse! From 1970s!!

The first rainbow I've seen this summer... Actually there were two of them but the other one disappeared too quickly. Sorry for bad photo, I was in a car so I couldn't take a better one.

Mun entinen laskin, oisko vuodelta 1980? Vanhempi ku mää kuitenki... Mutta toi on jotenki vaan niin hieno niin emmää oo voinu ostaa uutta paitsi nyt ku koulusta sai tosi halvalla.

Sori siis eilinen päivittämättömyyteni, päätin ottaa torkut päivittämisen sijasta ;)

Tännään ois sitte suunnitelmissa kampaajalla käynti, saa nähä mitä mun hiuksille tapahtuu siellä ku mun vakiokampaaja on lomalla! Oisin muuten varannu sen ajan myöhemmäksi mutta ens viikolla on TET ja en mää nyt ihan juurikasvuisena voi sinne mennä. Joo ja tosiaan kaverin synttärit ois huomenna ja asu (JA OSA LAHJAA!!!!) on vielä vähän hakusessa... No, enköhän mää kerkee.

Time

Huomenia! Päätin sitte päivittää aikasin aamulla kun oon kerta hereilläki jo. Eipä tässä muuta oikeen oo, aattelin vaan kertoo vähän kuulumisia ja silleen. Kuume on nyt poissa ja tänään ois tarkotus mennä kouluunki! Meille oli määrätty pari koetta sillä välin ku olin pois, enkku 24.11 ja matikka ja biologia 25.11. Mulla on siis nimipäivä 25.11 ja siitä tullee selvästikki aika mielenkiintonen. Niin ja mää varasin kampaajan perjantaille, saa nähä mitä mun hiuksille käy! En aatellu kuitenkaan mitään kovin dramaattista ku mun vakiokampaaja on lomalla :s

Kuten kaikki varmaan tietää, sunnuntaina on isänpäivä! ...Ja mulla ei oo mitään hajua mitä ostan lahjaksi!! Any ideas?

Niiiiin ja vielä se että meillä on TET koko ens viikon! Ja mää pääsen semmoseen paikkaan johon mää tosiaanki haluan :)

Seuraavaksi sitten ruokakuvat mökkireissulta... Roskaruokaa pääasiassa mutta mökkimatkalla ei tietenkään ollut mitään ravintoloita niin pakkohan sitä oli tyytyä siihen mitä oli tarjolla. Myöhemmin tällä viikolla aattelin kokata jotain ja jos tuotoksista tulee edes suunnilleen onnistuneita niin reseptiä ja kokkausohjeita saattaisi tulla tänne blogin puolellekin :)

Torstailta... Voitte varmaan arvatakkin, isi söi tuon ruisleivän ja mää pizzan. Ei ruisleivässä muuten mitään vikaa muttakun sitä syö aina kotona niin kerrankin kun syö jossain muualla niin EI RUISLEIPÄÄ! Pizza oli muuten hyvää, jos kainuussa liikkuu niin Vaalan ABC:llä kannattaa käväistä ;)

Ja siinä sitten lauantain terveysateria... Nyt kaikki varmaan aattelee että mää vejän aina vaan roskaruokaa naamaani mutta itse asiassa mää en oo syöny hampurilaistakaan piiiiitkään aikaan, viimeksi kesällä kai. Hampurilaiset ei oo mitään mun lempiruokaa ja ranskalaisetkin menee yleensä vaan jäätelön kanssa (Outo maku? EHEI!) No, tuosta tuli sen verran paha olo sitten että loppupäivänä en syönytkään mitään.

Muuten, kun näin roskaruuasta puhutaan niin pysytäämpä aiheessa. Monet aina valittaa kun tulee syötyä niin paljon karkkia kerralla ja itekkin ostin ihan reilun kokoisen pussin silloin Haaparannasta ja arvasin että jos tuota nyt rupean syömään niin saattaa olla loppuloman aika kipeänä. Jaoin sitten karkit pieniin pusseihin, joita riittää ensi viikon keskiviikkoon asti, silloin siis on se yhteiskuntaopin koe. Motivoi kummasti alkaa lukemaan kun tietää, että saa karkkia ;)

Loooots of junk food from our trip to our summerhouse. Well, we were hungry and there were no restaurants around so we decided to eat at ABC gas station. It's easy to guess which one I ate... Pizza of course! Well, I think rye bread is fine too, but we always eat it at home so I decided to order something else.

And then... The ''healthy'' food of Saturday. Now you probably think I eat junk food all the time but actually I haven't eaten hamburgers for a looong time. The last time I ate it was maybe... in the summer? Anyway, it isn't my favorite food and I'm not a big fan of fried potatoes either. I like fried potatoes with ice cream though

Btw, has this happened to you too: you buy looooots of candies, eat them immediately and feel sick for the whole week? As I told before, I bought very much candy from Sweden last week. Well, I didn't want to eat all of them at once so I divided them into small pouches. I'm allowed to eat one pouch (maybe 5 candies) per day and I think it was a good idea to share with you too. And also, as I told before, there will be a social studies exam next week. So the candy is like a prize which I get after studying well ;)
