The last days of summer

Okay, this shouldn't be called summer anymore. One morning when I left for school, it was only +7 outside... Soon it'll be -7!!!!!!! :O

School starts tomorrow

This summer has passed so quickly... I feel like it's been just a week or two since my holiday begun. But no, it's been more than 2 months!!!

Recently

(photo NOT related;) It was taken in Spain on 2010... I really want to go to beach now!)

The weekend: Hanging out with friends, watching movies, hanging out with friends, watching movies... It was nice to see some junior high school classmates again:)

Monday: Sunbathing! My Great Tanning Plan doesn't seem to work though, because my skin has just burned so far... I also arranged some stuff about that summer high school thingy, and in the evening I went to the city centre with my friend. And watched football! FRA-ENG and UKR-SWE...
Today: Shopping, I really need to buy some stuff before my trip!

So, after a week or so, I'll go to Keuruu in central Finland to celebrate midsummer. We hire a small cottage there, and I'll volunteer at a midsummer event held just a few kms away from there. I guess I'll get to work at a cafe or something :) Below you can see a picture which I took in 2009 in Keuruu.

After staying a few days in Keuruu, I'll go to Helsinki, stay one night there and continue my way to the summer high school which is quite close to Helsinki... In Espoo I think. And I'll stay there for a month, except one weekend that I'll get free... So I'm planning to have another shopping trip in Helsinki ;)

I'm on a little vacation now- 4 days with no school at all!! But I should study because the first exam will be held on Thursday... But that's the last exam week before my summer holidays! June the 2nd, I'm waiting..... So awesome :)

About my summer plans, I'll be completely free till 19th of June. Just going to the beach and eating strawberries for a few weeks ;) On June 19th I go to Keuruu in western Finland with my family. We'll spend the midsummer there, and on 25th of June I go to Espoo (the city next to Helsinki) to attend a summer high school for a month. It's kind of a camp, but I'll be able to pass 6 courses there. It's really much in my opinion, because normally I pass 7-8 courses in two months. The camp ends on 20th of July, and I'll have 20 days of holidays left. I'll probably spend those days in Helsinki to get to know the place a bit better before the school starts. IF I get accepted to that school of course :p

About the pic, the glass thing is a body lotion from my friend (thanks:) and the magazines are just random ones I bought a while ago.

As I told before, I'm on holidays now... But because I'm a lazy student, I didn't feel like studying today. So I went shopping. I bought some stuff that I really needed, like new bikini for the summer, and shoes as well :) Note to self: shopping in high heels is a bad idea. Always a bad idea. My poor feet are dying... Oh anyway, after shopping I went to visit my grandma♥ We spent about two hours talking, and I got to eat all the delicious foods she made... Yummy!!

Ps. I need some motivation to study for all the exams!!! I feel like burning all my school books... Or moving to Hawaii.

Today was the first school day and of course I don't have pics about it (except the pics about my outfit, I'll post them later) so I decided just to post some photos that were taken in the summer so that you can watch at least some kind of photos as well.

This photo was taken when my Korean friend was visiting us. I prepared that breakfast all by myself, soooo proud ;)

Well, today was a surprisingly long day, I had to stay at school till 3-4pm!!! Normally the first days are very short, like last year, when we had only 10 minutes of school... Well, that's probably how upper secondary school is! :< We got so much paper, like timetables and study guides etc. Luckily that part didn't last too long (9.30-11.30am), and then the funny part started! We were divided in groups of 9 people and we had to walk around the school & university area, which is next to our school as well and play little games, such as quizzes. Each class had 3 teams (mine was team number 2) and the best class got prizes! And guess which class won??? MY CLASS♥ We got small bars of chocolate as a reward ;)

I ♥ those IKEA lamps!!!! Too bad it'd look terrible in my room :(

Tomorrow I must go to school at 8.15 in the morning, and the whole day will we filled with information about studying in upper sec. school (it means basically the same as high school, but somebody has decided to call it upper secondary school here). The ''real'' lessons start on Monday, and the first lesson is maths of course!!!! I always seem to have math on the first lesson on Mondays...

Epälaiskan päivän asu

This is a very rare photo, be glad to see it... Me without fringe! Since I got my fringe (7th or 8th grade), I've always had it when I go away from home! I bet you wonder why. Because when you have a fringe, it looks really strange if you try to ''hide'' it! Well, at least it's my opinion... Anyway, the reason why I don't have it in this picture is that I was going to the swimming hall and didn't want to wash my hair at home because I'd have to wash it there of course! I think it turned out quite well, even if I still hate leaving the house ''without'' my fringe :p

Plastic bag, from Ataturk Airport, Turkey! Maybe some of you have noticed that I always seem to have a plastic bag with me... I have a huge collection of plastic bags from foreign countries (Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Japan, Spain and Turkey so far), and I can't throw them away so I try to use them as much as I can. And finally, when the bag is really dirty/broken, I can throw it away... Maybe.

Luckily you can't see it in the photo, but I hit my toe somewhere when I was in Turkey, and my toenail is still blue/black!!!! It looks so horrible :<

Some bluebells (actually it's not exactly a bluebell, it's a Campanula rapunculoides, thanks to Wikipedia) in our yard! It's supposed to be summer now, but when I woke up in the morning it was only 10C ! ! ! Well, school starts on Thursday so autunum is allowed to come. Because I cannot enjoy the summer at school ayway ;)

And by the way, guess what I'll do tomorrow! Actually I've two things to do: I go to a Red Cross meeting (more about that later) and shopping! I REALLY REALLY REALLY need new shoes...

More vintage stuff from our summerhouse! From 1970s!!

The first rainbow I've seen this summer... Actually there were two of them but the other one disappeared too quickly. Sorry for bad photo, I was in a car so I couldn't take a better one.

I'm still staying in our summerhouse, I'll probably visit Oulu from Tuesday to Wednesday and then go back to Puolanka ;)

A short (or a bit longer) pause awaits again! Here's my plan:

- Tomorrow I'll stay the night in a spa hotel with my best friend, we'll also go to the cinema to see a movie called Hanna.

- On Tuesday we go back to our summerhouse and stay there for... a week? A month?

Just gonna post some random pics this time! I'm just reading that book, Mika Waltari's The Roman. The book has like a million pages, so it takes a long time to finish!! But Waltari's writing style is so awesome that I'll keep reading ;)

I don't feel like writing a lot today- I spent the whole day in downtown so I'm really tired!! I also brought some old clothes to a flea market, hopefully somebody buys them... To Finnish readers, Alppis Store, pöytä 186!

A gift that I made to my mum for her birthday. Actually I painted it at school, but it waited in my room for a while because I didn't know what to do with it... But my mom liked it so I'm really glad!

Flowers! The weather hasn't been really warm lately, about 14-19C... Well, maybe we'll get a couple of 30C days before winter♥

Post from Brazil! There was a Donald Duck magazine, movie, some coins, postcards and a letter there! I'll write about the movie when I have watched it, and postcards will be shown when my door is ready (that'll take forever!!!). In case I haven't told about it yet, I'm covering my doors with postcards....

I used to hate that thing (yoghurt? noooo...), but now I kinda like it... HOW POINTLESS WAS THAT? Well, at least you wasted 10 seconds of your life reading my blog about a weird, yoghurt-like thing that I used to hate...
