Laiska lauantai(ko)

"I'm just gonna relax today!!" Just after thinking that I noticed I've plenty of stuff to do :s
1. I should send some mail to my new school because I'd like to make some course choices... Normally, the school decides the courses for 1st year students, but I'm a 2nd year student (even if officially a 1st year student) and I don't want to repeat some courses. I also got the acception letter from the school yesterday, with the score of the entrance exam! I thought I didn't do that well in the exam, because I didn't have time to prepare for it (okay, I glanced through a grammar book while on airplane to Helsinki), but my score was 9,8/10! I literally danced around the house after that :D

2. I need to send 234645247345345 letters... I didn't have time to reply my friends while at school, so for the past few weeks, I've been writing and writing.

3. I need to pack my stuff for the trip! School books (pictured above), clothes, camera etc... Would be terrible if I forgot something! I also visit Helsinki on my trip, because I must give the final report of my junior high school to my new school. The final report should not be folded or wrinkled, so I must be careful :s

4. I should see my friends. Should is a bit bad word for this situation though.. "I want to see my friends" would be better! I won't see them for over a month, and one of my friends will study abroad in the USA this year so I want to see her before she leaves!!

5. I should return my books to the library and some other little stuff.

6. I should go shopping!! I need to buy some stuff before I leave... Such as summer clothes!

Oh... I guess this won't be a lazy Saturday after all :(

(The pic below: my favorite view in my room)

This is what I found during a shopping trip about a week ago. Nothing much... I wanted to find some nice and summery stuff, but nooooo :( The jeans are high-waisted ones from Cubus, 39,90€, and the loose shirt is from Lindex, 19,90€.

Tännään

I was starving after a loooong day at school & library, so I went to order some take away at the local Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious and the portion was too big so I can eat it tomorrow as well :) YUM!

And studying again. Music lessons started today... I'm a bit disappointed because I thought the music lessons would be fun and they actually aren't- we just sang some songs and discussed all the things we need to do in order to complete the course: learning diary, essays, visiting concerts, projects with groups, more essays and exercises... WHERE'S THE FUN PART???

Lompakkoshoppailua ja vaateshoppailua

A new wallet from MANGO! I love the brand, and the wallet was quite cheap (can't remember the price though, sorry). I was going to buy a MANGO bag as well, but I forgot to buy it, and now I feel that I'm in need of a new bag...

FANTA GRAPE♥♥ My favorite drink, too bad it's not sold in Finland, or at least I've never seen it there :/

Normi soulpäivä

Korean VitaminWater! I don't like the taste but I had to drink it so that I wouldn't catch a cold (yea I drink vitamin drinks always when I think I'm cathing a cold:) I love the color though!!

The view from Seoul Green Residence's common room... N Seoul Tower (aka Namsan Tower)!! I wanted to visit it, but choose the wrong day. 31st of December isn't the best day to go to tourist spots in Seoul even if New Year isn't as big deal over there (they celebrate Chinese New Year more) :D

My meal! Bulgogi burger (omnom), milk, and baby bananas!!! They were so cute♥♥

Travel fever

One of my favorite foods ever♥ Ate too much of them.

I shouldn't look at these pics before traveling: as a tip to you guys I'd like to say that in my destinations there weather is quite alike to what we have in Finland now. Except that there's no snow. In Istanbul it was even 32C, which was just perfect!! If I get a change to travel in the summer, I really want to travel to a warm place with palm trees. I love them:)

New school books! MOOLI 2 isn't for the 3rd period though, but I bought it already because I need to get good grades :p

Chinese fooood♥ Ate that a looooong ago though.

Carrot cake, thanks to my grandma!♥
But it wasn't actually the point of this post, the actual point is so taaaalk a lot!
1. I got accepted for the high school I applied for! (Did I tell it already...?)
2. I have earned soooo much money with selling my old stuff, about 150€ so far!!!! And I still have a LOT of things to sell!
3. My Korean friend left yesterday and my English relative arrives tomorrow. He'll stay only for onw day though.
4. Tomorrow in the evening we go back to our summerhouse
5. ..... BECAUSE I GOT INTERESTED IN SOMETHING SUPER COOL!
That place is so close to our summerhouse that I could visit there almost every day... But at first I need to TRY it! Sooo, maybe on Thursday♥
6. I really want to pick strawberries now

Aaand the last one: cosmetics! I have used these for a while, but I don't think they're very good! Has anybody else tried them? Opinions pleaseee ;)

Lauantai kuvina

A random picture about my lunch. That was delicious! While eating, I listened to some old men and women talking about computers, e-mail and Facebook. It was actually kinda interesting... (Am I becoming old or what?). One of them said that my lunch looked really delicious, I really love that how some people have a habit of talking to randomers on the street, as long as those people are nice of course :p

My Saturday:
10:00 going to the flea market to sell my old stuff
11:30 going to the library, didn't borrow anything because my room is already full of books
13:00 SHOPPING!
14:00 MORE SHOPPING!
15:00 SHOPPING!
16:00 MORE SHOPPING!
17:00 SHOPPING!
18:00 MORE SHOPPING!
19:00 finally at home♥
That was a long day indeed! I'll post a pic of what I bought on another day. By the way, I tried a Chanel lipstick and fell in love with it(the photo is baaaad but maybe you can see the color?)! I have had a Chanel mascara before but it ended too early, it was really good as well... But at the moment I'm trying to save money so I shouldn't even think about buying Chanel!!!

I had never eaten blackberries before... They didn't taste as good as I thought they would... But you know, those are imported so of course the taste has suffered from long travel etc, it's the same with strawberries, apples, bananas, tomatoes and everything else in stores! Actually the best strawberries I have ever eaten are from our friends who live near our summerhouse. Those strawberries were so fresh, I can't even describe how good they were ;)

Pari viime viikkoa kuvina

Just gonna post some random pics this time! I'm just reading that book, Mika Waltari's The Roman. The book has like a million pages, so it takes a long time to finish!! But Waltari's writing style is so awesome that I'll keep reading ;)

I don't feel like writing a lot today- I spent the whole day in downtown so I'm really tired!! I also brought some old clothes to a flea market, hopefully somebody buys them... To Finnish readers, Alppis Store, pöytä 186!

A gift that I made to my mum for her birthday. Actually I painted it at school, but it waited in my room for a while because I didn't know what to do with it... But my mom liked it so I'm really glad!

Flowers! The weather hasn't been really warm lately, about 14-19C... Well, maybe we'll get a couple of 30C days before winter♥

Post from Brazil! There was a Donald Duck magazine, movie, some coins, postcards and a letter there! I'll write about the movie when I have watched it, and postcards will be shown when my door is ready (that'll take forever!!!). In case I haven't told about it yet, I'm covering my doors with postcards....

I used to hate that thing (yoghurt? noooo...), but now I kinda like it... HOW POINTLESS WAS THAT? Well, at least you wasted 10 seconds of your life reading my blog about a weird, yoghurt-like thing that I used to hate...

Ruokaa Istanbulissa

This is what we ate at Helsinki-Vantaa airport while waiting for the flight: my dad ate rye bread with salad, cheese and meat and I ate a salmon sandwitch. It was really delicious!

The meal that we were given in the airplane. Kidney beans marinated in olive oil/Zeytinyağlı Barbunya  (at right) was really good even if I thought it wouldn't taste good at first because I hadn't ever eaten beans before! Kinda crazy isn't it? I've managed to avoid them for over 16 years......... And now I'm curious about the recipe!
Herbed sautéed chicken, ratatouille, rice/Baharatli Tavuk Sote, Sebze Türlüsü, Sade Pilav (down, covered... Sorry, forgot to take the cover off).
Almond cake/Bademli Kek (at left)
+ bread, tea, coffee, soft drinks, butter, jam, cookies etc were served as well!
This was definitely the best meal that I've been given in an airplane. I'd recommend Turkish Airlines to everybody who plans to travel Turkey :)

And finally in Turkey! We were so tired that we just bought some junk food. We bought two Snickers bars (to my dad, he didn't feel like eating anything ''exotic''), some cookies and that yellow, cake like thing. It was surprisingly good! The free nuts given in the airplane are pictured as well :D

Perinteinen ruokapostaus + punapää

It's watching you........... Scary isn't it??

Recently I've eaten way too much porridge! It just tastes so good...

My red hair is back again!! And no, I didn't dye it, my hair just always becimes red in the summer... Well, when I didn't dye my hair dark brown, it used to be ORANGE in the summer :S It's kinda strange that it's really hard for me to get suntan, but immediately when the sun is visible, my hair becomes red :p

Strawberries and a donut-like thing (munkki in Finnish, if anybody knows the correct name in English, please inform me, this uncertainty is terrible;)
Well anyway, I'm not going to talk about food or anything like that! Okay okay just a few words about health&food today, everybody check this! Best Before Paranoia, sounds kinda familiar...

But seriously, that wasn't the point of the post, I have something serious to talk about ;) If you're not interested in politics, just skip thiiiiiiis!
So, if you've watched the news lately, you probably know about Portugal's money problems. Well if you don't, then search the information from the net, I'm just too lazy to explain the whole thing :D
I used to think that we really should help Portugal, as it's a part of the EU and also because of that we should try to help the people in need. But the following things changed my mind a bit:
1. They have gold worth of $17.6bn. Shouldn't they sell their own gold before getting money from other countries who have problems as well?
2. If we want to loan money to Portugal, we should take more loan too. And guess what happens then? A rat race! We take loan from others who have taken loan from somebody else etc etc etc.
3. They actually made a video to show what we should know about them. Telling things like
''Portugal used the Finnish flag 800 years before Finland''
''James Bond was invented in Portugal''
''Our Ronaldo is better than the Brazilian Ronaldo''
And at last but not least:
''One of the largest volunteer campaigns ever in Portugal was in 1940. We collected tons of clothes and cereals to support another peripheral, poor and starving country. This country was Finland.''
I checked the information from the net, and according to this site they gave us 19902 boxes of sardines, 956 boxes of onions, 157 boxes of fish, 27 boxes of pineapple and skis, hot water pouches and pullovers. Thank you, Portugal (I don't want to sound sarcastic, just honestly want to thank them..). But another thing I discovered is that all that was worth of 200000€, and we should loan them 1.4billion euros, 1400000000€! Isn't that just a few euros more than their donation?

What do you think? Should we give the money to Portugal? In my opinion, they definitely haven't earned it, but we should be charitable. And discuss about the terms of the loan, we shouldn't give money without rules.
