Borrowed some random CDs from the library but for some reason they didn't work on my laptop...

Civics exam today! I shouldn't worry because I got good grades from 3 earlier civics exams but of course I worry, it's a common habit already ;)

I quit taking piano lessons last week. It was really hard because I've been playing the piano for 10 years!! When I was younger I hated it and never practiced, and when I learnt to love it, I didn't have time to practice enough because of school and hobbies... Such a sad thing! I gave those chocolates to my piano teacher, hopefully she liked them :)

And nooooow, I'm off to eat some porridge and run to school... Have a nice day everybody♥

Osaisinki saksaa

Our Berlin WelcomeCards arrived!!! So happy right now, but it was a bit strange when I realised that there's only 2 weeks and 1 day before we go to Berlin, the time has gone so fast... And another strange thing, I have 6 exams before that!!! Okay, actually 5 because I already did one, but still. And those are the LAST EXAMS OF JUNIOR HIGH! How weird is that? No more exams before high school starts ;)

Just a couple of days ago... Beautiful weather isn't it (where's spring????)?
Oh well, have a nice day everybody♥

Toukokuu!

It's May now, only less than a month of school left!!! Summer comes soon♥♥

Wondering why I posted twice today? Because I probably can't post tomorrow, I must go to the dentists'... And study!
Strawberries and a donut-like thing (munkki in Finnish, if anybody knows the correct name in English, please inform me, this uncertainty is terrible;)
Well anyway, I'm not going to talk about food or anything like that! Okay okay just a few words about health&food today, everybody check this! Best Before Paranoia, sounds kinda familiar...

But seriously, that wasn't the point of the post, I have something serious to talk about ;) If you're not interested in politics, just skip thiiiiiiis!
So, if you've watched the news lately, you probably know about Portugal's money problems. Well if you don't, then search the information from the net, I'm just too lazy to explain the whole thing :D
I used to think that we really should help Portugal, as it's a part of the EU and also because of that we should try to help the people in need. But the following things changed my mind a bit:
1. They have gold worth of $17.6bn. Shouldn't they sell their own gold before getting money from other countries who have problems as well?
2. If we want to loan money to Portugal, we should take more loan too. And guess what happens then? A rat race! We take loan from others who have taken loan from somebody else etc etc etc.
3. They actually made a video to show what we should know about them. Telling things like
''Portugal used the Finnish flag 800 years before Finland''
''James Bond was invented in Portugal''
''Our Ronaldo is better than the Brazilian Ronaldo''
And at last but not least:
''One of the largest volunteer campaigns ever in Portugal was in 1940. We collected tons of clothes and cereals to support another peripheral, poor and starving country. This country was Finland.''
I checked the information from the net, and according to this site they gave us 19902 boxes of sardines, 956 boxes of onions, 157 boxes of fish, 27 boxes of pineapple and skis, hot water pouches and pullovers. Thank you, Portugal (I don't want to sound sarcastic, just honestly want to thank them..). But another thing I discovered is that all that was worth of 200000€, and we should loan them 1.4billion euros, 1400000000€! Isn't that just a few euros more than their donation?

What do you think? Should we give the money to Portugal? In my opinion, they definitely haven't earned it, but we should be charitable. And discuss about the terms of the loan, we shouldn't give money without rules.

Curryriisiä

Weeks ago, I bought some ingredients to make Japanese curry. The recipe is simple, you just need the curry paste, rice, some meat (like pork or chicken) and onions/carrots/potatoes/etc.

This is the recipe I used:
800g pork
Curry paste
5 small onions
Oil/butter
Water
1 carrot
Cherry tomatoes
Cucumber

1. Cut the meat into smaller pieces and chop the onions
2. Stir the meat and onions until the onions are a bit brown (3min)
(2½. Add carrots, potatoes etc.)
3.Add about 1,5 litre of water
4.Boil and then raduce the heat. Cover and let it simmer until the meat is ready (15min)
5. Add the curry paste and wait until it has melt completely (5min)
6. Serve with rice (I also used cherry tomatoes and cucumber)

TIP: About the curry paste, it can be found in Asian food shops;)

Töitä

My summerjob starts after a month so I got my work shift letter and information about work clothes etc! The name of the place means ''Pancake House'' in English so you can probably imagine what it's like ;)

Some Korean hot chocolate powder, it was so delicious♥ (Just noticed how funny that sounds... I DIDN'T EAT THE POWDER! I made some hot chocolate:)
Making a portfolio for textile work class. Did I already mention I'm really bad at handicraft, painting and other things like that? Well anyway, this year it has gone a bit better but I'm still awfully bad at it :(

My outfit last week. Nothing special!

A chill day

Two weeks ago..? Anyway, it was the warmest day of the year so far, so I went outside in t-shirt and shorts (SUMMERSUMMERSUMMER!) Too bad there was still snow on our yard.

Our trampoline... I can't jump on it very often because my back starts to hurt a lot! Maybe I should go to see a doctor because my back seems to get worse day by day :(

Mökillä 2

Sometimes I'm just too stupid... But jumping + taking pictures = too much fun!

Our packed lunches and some candy... I LOVE those ''festis'' bottles, I bought some juice in Sweden months ago and still have those bottles ;)

Some swans, took that photo while sitting in car so it's not very good...

Mökillä

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days, I had a busy Vappu weekend! But now I'm back again, with some photos that I took around our summerhouse last weekend :)
A well eaten tree... Rabbits perhaps?

WHAT? A HELICOPTER??? Our summerhouse is about 30km away from any city but we still see helicopters there quite often... At least more often than in Oulu even if it's considered as a big city in Finland.
An earthquake or what? No, that just happens when the water under the road freezes in the winter and melts during spring... But as a matter of fact, one of the biggest earthquakes of the year was in March near our summerhouse. It was 2 magnitude, and I read somewhere that the earthquake in Japan was 10 million times stronger than that! But well, we actually do have earthquakes in Finland, too..........
