I did the exams (5 essays on just one day..) and took a train back home yesterday. Today I went to my great-aunt's funeral and met some relatives. They had found some old photo albums, and I got to see pictures of my great-grandfather (in Finnish: isoisoisoisä, in Swedish: farfarsfarfar :D) and so on. Tomorrow I'll go to Ikea in  Haparanda, Sweden... Have to buy some furniture to my new house :)

Oh, it seems that my healthy eating habits are lost again... It was a mistake to buy these anyway, as they were so stodgy that I had trouble finishing them :s

PS. As you guys & girls can see, I've been busy again... 3 exams next Friday, so I have to focus on studying!!

New Earrings

Got these yesterday on my super Helsinki trip.. Super, why? Because I got sooooo many things done on just one trip!! This is all I did:

- Returned some apartment papers

- Went to Kela to get some information about study grants

- Got a travel card and a library card

- Bought some stuff

- Went to Ikea

All this in 12 hours :)

Extra class

Finnish trains don't have 1st and 2nd class anymore- it's extra class and eco class now... Anyway, this was my first time to try extra class! I noticed it's just ~10-20€ more expensive than the eco class, so I decided to give it a try. I really liked traveling on extra class, because

+ It was peaceful

+ The seats were more comfortable

+ Free newspapers, coffee, tea, cookies...

+ The price wasn't so high compared to eco class, especially because I bought the ticket from the train station just before the train left --> I got some discount :)

PS. Tomorrow's plan: Going to Helsinki to sort some apartment stuff out, visit Kela (The Social Insurance Institution in Finland) to talk about some student benefits, get a travel card from HSL, visit IKEA.... Oh, so many things to do for just one day!!! 

Glad news

I got an e-mail from HOAS yesterday, they informed me about my apartment in Helsinki! I'll get a 12m2 room from 1/8/2012, and share a house with two mates. The size of the whole house is 65m2, with 3 bedrooms, kitchen and a washing room. Not bad at all, especially because the rent is really low :)
And another news, today is the exam day at the summer high school.. After doing the exams, I'll take a bus+train to Helsinki and another train to Oulu where I'll spend the weekend.

Waiting for a long time, and the actual ride is like 15 seconds... I'm a bit disappointed but it was fun anyway!

Ps. I'm going to the Linnanmäki amusement park today! I visited it 8 years ago and was too scared to go on most of the rides... But now I want to try all of them ;)
